After a three-day ban that began on October 8th, Twitch has unbanned Amouranth’s channel today.
The actual cause for her suspension is still unknown, however it was most likely due to her sexually suggestive content on and off Twitch.
Twitch streamer Amouranth is still banned from her primary Instagram account, which has millions of followers, as of this writing. Her TikTok account appears to be banned as well.
When Amouranth’s Twitch account was banned last week, Commander Root, a Twitch partner and software engineer, pointed out that the code still identified her as a Twitch partner. When a ban is temporary and not permanent, Twitch usually keeps streamers partnered, so it’s not surprising that Amouranth’s ban lasted only for a few days.
However, Amouranth made it appear as if her suspension was indefinite. On Oct. 9, she included a misleading Mizkif clip at the start of her YouTube video “This got me banned on Twitch and Instagram.” In the clip, Mizkif said, “I think that’s her last ban. She might be gone. End of an era.”
Despite the fact that the video’s title implies that Amouranth would explain why she was banned, the video actually provides little to no information on the subject. Given that Amouranth has now been unbanned from Twitch, it’s safe to assume that the October 9th video was nothing more than clickbait.
