After a two-month break, Hololive VTuber Gawr Gura has finally resumed streaming on YouTube. On Saturday, February 11, a Just Chatting stream featuring the much-missed celebrity streamer went live for the first time since last year.

The shark girl wasted no time in setting her return date for Saturday and starting her live broadcast that same day. With great hype, the program attracted over 44,000 viewers at its peak. On December 22, Hololive Productions publicly stated that star streamer Gura would take a break from streaming due to health issues. This marked the beginning of Gura’s formal hiatus.

She first mentioned plans to resume YouTube streaming on January 25, but she didn’t provide a specific date at the time, merely stating that it will be “before Valentine’s Day.”

The VTuber briefly stumbled at the start of the broadcast and apologized to the gathered YouTube viewers: “Pardon me, I’ve forgotten how to do this. I’m not sure if it’s my espresso that’s making me shake, or if I’m just shaky because I’m nervous. It’s probably because I’m nervous. Maybe it’s a bit of both.”

She went off topic and started talking about how easy it was to get coffee in Japan, mentioning that it was sold in vending machines and convenience stores. “It’s very easy [to] access and it’s very dangerous. My entire kitchen counter is espresso.”

Gura then regained his peak performance. She reaffirmed that she was in Japan and then spent the remaining portion of the stream recounting travel experiences, such as getting to know her Hololive Japan counterparts, spending time with other English-speaking talent, and touring the Hololive studios.
