Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa has slammed Instagram for refusing to delete a spam account where she was posting her own photos, including the ones that got her banned from the platform in the first place.
Amouranth built an impressive Instagram profile in the early days of her streaming career to help boost her following and attract fans to her Twitch channel.
All of that came to an end when she was abruptly banned from the social media platform for including “nudity” in her posts.
Now, Amouranth is appealing to her fans for assistance after Instagram approved a fake account claiming to be her. Despite the fact that it contains images for which she was previously barred.
Amouranth blasted Instagram for “refusing” to ban a fake account in a Twitter thread on April 19 with a series of comments. The troll, according to the streamer, is not only impersonating her ‘official’ Instagram account, but is also posting the images that got her banned.
A screenshot of the fake account was shared. She went on to criticize Instagram’s draconian policies, claiming that by banning her, the platform had become less secure. She went on to say that the imposter is running a romance scam and is then using her name and likeness to commit criminal fraud.
After failing to get Instagram to take down the fake Instagram account on her own, Amouranth enlisted the help of her fans to take down the page.
Fans were instructed by the streamer to report the Instagram page, claiming that the user is impersonating someone she knows.
The fake Instagram account, hopefully, will be taken down quickly. However, it appears that Amouranth herself will not be able to return to the platform any time soon, as she previously stated that no one wants to manage her account.
