Twitch has come under fire from its users due to its policy towards its streamers. Instead of entertainment, Twitch has suddenly become a place of constant drama and many are pointing out how the platform deals with it saying that Twitch has done very little to prevent it.
A revelation from Amazon’s engineer revealed that Twitch management failed to curb the drama because it prefers all the drama over quality content.
Recently, Twitch replied to a thread sharing its “plan” to support marginalized content creators and one streamer shared a statement from an alleged engineer of the platform ranting about how messed up the platform is. The alleged engineer admitted that Twitch continues to reject the values of its owners that still follow their toxic ideals.
According to the viral rant of an engineer, Twitch is still a closed space even to its owners and from emails to offices, the platform still maintains the old Justin.tv ideals and closing themselves from the corporate overlords. He also gave the platform some harsh words and went on to talk about the executives of the platform saying that they are a bunch of bigots and his rants explained why the platform is doing very little to fix the problem because they chose not to.
The statement also explained how the streaming platform actively ignores its users and drama but instead, cultivates drama to increase viewership and ban problematic elements easily and it is now evident why the streaming platform cultivated such toxic culture and using all the backing fromAmazon and keeping its owners from the management as far away as possible.
