Other Interests
Family
He and his two siblings were mainly raised by their single mom, although their dad also played a major role in their upbringing.
Gaming Origins
a_babybay got into video games when he was about nine years old, and his dad got himself an Xbox. When he was older, he moved on to PC games as well. He first started dreaming of a career as a pro-gamer when he was nearly 14 years old. Although initially skeptical, his mom was ok with him spending some of his free time playing video games provided that he kept his grades up. However, when she was home, she would limit his computer time to an hour a day.
Outside of gaming, he also took ice-hockey seriously during high school. He also enjoyed skiing and rollerblading. Although he had been offered hockey scholarships for college after high school, he opted to go the pro-esport route instead.
Professional Gaming
He competed at his first LAN event when he was 15 years old and one of his friends invited him to compete with him. They won the national tournament and went on to compete in China. He first entered the competitive Overwatch scene with tier 2 teams in 2016. He eventually started featuring on Kungura’s roster unofficially late that year. Then, when the Kungura team merged with Splyce in February 2017, he went on to officially represent Splyce. He began livestreaming on Twitch during that same month.
However, he decided to join SF Shock in September 2017, as part of their inaugural Overwatch roster and remained with them until April 2019, when he decided to transfer to Atlanta Reign.
He retired from professional Overwatch in July 2020 in favor of pursuing a pro-Valorant career. Fortunately for him, he was soon picked up for FaZe’s Valorant roster in August 2020.

Income
According to a_babybay’s Twitch chat bot, he has around 1,850 subscribers. This should make his starting monthly earnings at least $6,475 USD. This excludes additional revenue from tiered subscriptions, his team salary, Twitch cheer bit contributions, advertisements, tournament winnings tips and sponsorships. EsportsEarnings puts his winnings at over $71,000 USD.
