Minecraft star TommyInnit is going to “war” with Gordon Ramsay on TikTok, and he has an interesting plan to beat the British chef.
TikTok has become the next frontier for content creators to conquer as it has grown in popularity over the last few years. Although the video-sharing platform has spawned a slew of new internet celebrities, you can still find your favorite creators there.
TommyInnit has amassed a massive following on TikTok, with over 11 million followers, after huge success on YouTube and Twitch. He does, however, trail British chef Gordon Ramsay, who has more than three times the number of followers.
Unafraid of the huge gap, the Minecraft star is rallying his fans in a “war” to catch up to the 55-year-old as soon as possible.
The YouTuber is digging deep into his arsenal of internet tricks by creating posters for people to hang up wherever they want, all with the same message: “Follow TommyInnit on TikTok.”
He’s already begun putting them up in his hometown, promising to release TikTok duets with the most creative placements. “We have to pass Gordon!” In his rallying cry video, he said, “It’s war.”
Furthermore, if TikTok isn’t your thing, he’s also retweeting on his TommyInit alternate Twitter account. He does not, however, want people to go insane and get arrested by throwing them up.
Fans of the YouTuber have already come up with a few innovative ideas, including sticking a poster on their teacher’s whiteboard so that everyone in their school can see it.
Tommy may be fighting a losing battle because the gap between him and Gordon is so wide – and the chef’s growth on TikTok shows no signs of slowing down.
In any case, it should result in some fantastic content.
