For the majority of video game collectors, collecting video games is about preserving games, consoles, and related collectibles that have lost their popularity and significance in today’s gaming culture. However, for Aimee and Korbin, the YouTube duo behind “Cheap Finds Gold Mines,” finding these amazing items is an opportunity to make serious money by reselling them.

The two YouTubers recently uploaded videos in which they explored a 20-year-old abandoned home that was about to be demolished. They found a lot of bugs and useless junk, but they didn’t expect to find a huge collection of valuable video game loot worth around $100,000. The home was brought to the duo’s attention by one of their subscribers, according to an interview with Kotaku’s Isaiah Colbert.

Aimee and Korbin were enticed to travel to the abandoned home and investigate further after receiving a message about a demolition sale. Upon arriving, they saw that the house was in a complete mess. And due to boxes stacked from the floor to the ceiling, both YouTubers had difficulty walking around the house. The house was also overrun with cockroaches which was something that Aimee and Korbin admitted they weren’t prepared for.

While adventuring the house, the duo had stumbled upon several containers and to their surprise, each container filled with video games realizing that it was a gold mine.

Their main focus was discovering games that were still factory-sealed. Some of the games they had found were for the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and Nintendo GameCube systems and included titles like Drakengard andThe Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

However, as far as celebrations go, they had a couple misfortunes including when Aimee was bitten by a dangerous spider, and Korbin contracted scabies on his leg. Regardless, this didn’t seem to stop the duo, who discovered games and consoles worth around $100,000. They later sold the majority of their incredible finds to eight different vendors, earning $20,000 in the process.
