Felix ‘xQc‘ Lengyel has shared details about his time with Streamlabs, including why the streaming software company let him break free from his exclusive contract for a one-time stream.

Streamlabs is a livestreaming software company owned by Logitech. They were heavily chastised at the end of 2021 for stealing other people’s branding and trading under the name ‘OBS’ without having any ties to the original company.

xQc reacted to a breakdown of issues that the company faced in recent months while watching a video on-stream titled ‘The 2022 Twitch Iceberg explained’ by Syrmaa.

xQc dug into the details of his exclusive contract as a former sponsor. When it came to hosting a media share broadcast, Twitch’s biggest streamer didn’t hold back when describing how they fell short of expectations.

Donations to the proposed event would allow viewers to stream videos directly. Streamlabs lacked this feature. After contacting the company to see if that feature could be implemented,

Felix walked back his comments on the company as the video progressed, pulling his punches. The inadequacies of the program were widely agreed upon in a Reddit thread discussing xQc’s opinion.

xQc has been using OBS to stream his content since his exclusive contract ended, leaving Streamlabs and their issues in the dust.

Despite the end of their partnership, xQc has continued to dominate Twitch in every way, breaking viewership records and leaving little room for anyone else to catch up.
