To raise money for the charity, Game Action will host two events: a streaming festival and a game sale.

The War Child Winter Streaming Festival, which will begin on November 1st and will end on November 28th, is the first part of the campaign. The festival will feature streams from a variety of Twitch content creators, all of whom are attempting to raise funds for the charity where viewers can learn more about the streamers involved by visiting the Game Action campaign website, as well as learn about special events, such as the global reveal of Football Manager 2022 Xbox Edition, and how to start fundraising on their own stream.

The War Child Winter Sale, which will take place on Steam and Google Play between November 2nd and 9th, is the second part of the campaign. This will be War Child’s largest sale to date, with dozens of games having their prices reduced and some or all royalties going to War Child.

War Child’s head of gaming partnerships, David Miller says that everyone in and around games has had an incredibly difficult time in 2020 and 2021 and if they were to maintain their position as one of the leading charities working in the games space, they knew they needed to do something different and innovative and that the response to their plans from creators, developers, and publishers has been overwhelmingly positive, and they are indeed grateful to everyone for their continued support of War Child. They hope that everyone involved enjoys themselves and returns next year for more.
