Veloce Esports has announced a partnership with leading racing game developer Codemasters to launch the VERSUS ULTRA Series, a revolutionary multi-title global esports racing league, with Lando Norris’ Quadrant team revealing itself as the first official entry.

Veloce is no stranger to unique and innovative projects in the burgeoning esports space, as evidenced by the huge success of its #NotTheGP series during the 2020 lockdowns. The Veloce Esports ecosystem, which is still growing, has a monthly viewership of more than 230 million people across its various channels.

Codemasters is a world-renowned video game studio that specializes in racing games. DiRT, Project CARS, GRID, and the official F1® video game series are among its many titles. The VERSUS ULTRA Series will use a unique event format, with different stages of competition taking place across multiple Codemasters games.

The event will feature some of the most well-known global esports teams, including world-famous streamers, pro gamers, and more, with squads competing for the inaugural VERSUS ULTRA Cup.

Quadrant, the esports team of F1 driver Lando Norris, is the first to enter the competition.

Quadrant will undoubtedly be at the sharp end during the inaugural season, with the likes of F1 YouTube star Aarav Amin (Aarava), leading virtual racer Steve Alvarez Brown (Super GT), Maria Bish (RiaBish), and Niran Yesufu (FNG) on the books.

More details on the event format, team announcements, and the VERSUS ULTRA CUP will be released as they become available, with racing set to begin in 2022.

Veloce Esports CEO Rupert Svendsen-Cook expressed his delight and privilege to be partnering with such an established player in the industry as Codemasters to launch what he believes will be the best racing esport in the world. They also collaborated with Codemasters on occasion.

Head of Business Development Toby Evan-Jones said that the VERSUS Ultra Series is an exciting new format that provides action-packed content as well as the opportunity for their players to compete against heroes from both the real and virtual racing worlds. He added that the expertise of Codemasters in delivering world-class racing games makes them the ideal partner for Veloce and they are hoping to bring together players of all skill levels to create a fun competition that redefines the competitive gaming landscape with an innovative and inclusive format.
