One of the most popular female streamers and a co-owner of the popular organization 100 Thieves, Valkyrae launched her own skincare line. It’s called RFLCT, and it’s aimed towards PC gamers, content creators, and anyone who spends a lot of time in front of a screen.
Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter, a content creator herself, understands what it’s like to be subjected to blue light pollution from cell phones, computer monitors, and televisions. While blue light pollution isn’t thought to be harmful, it has been related to skin aging, which the streamer aims to address.
On October 19, Valkyrae’s skincare line was released. She described why she felt it was necessary to release new products aimed at heavy screen users when discussing her new brand. She explained, “I’m a full-time content creator and streamer. My entire career depends on me being glued to a screen. All of that screen time started to take a toll on my body and my skin. So I did something about it. Screen time is a part of our world, but the negative effects don’t have to be.”
Valkyrae and her partners are promoting their BLPF (Blue Light Prevention Factor) and RE3 (Rice Extract) technologies as the main ingredients that will “shield your skin from blue light damage and boost its natural strength.”
A Facial Gel Cleanser, a Face Moisturizer, an Eye Gel Treatment, eye masks, and lip balm are among the RFLCT launch products. The Lip Guard Moisture Balm costs $12, while the Face Moisturizer costs $24.
