In its Q1 fiscal year 2023 call to investors earlier this week, Ubisoft informed investors that it had postponed a lesser-known premium title. There is still no set date for release.

The upcoming Assassins Creed, codenamed Rift, and said to star Valhalla’s Basim, is the game that has been delayed. Before becoming its own game, Rift is said to have first appeared as an expansion for Valhalla. It was planned for release either later this year or at the beginning of 2023, and it is rumored to be set in Baghdad.

The company will hold a series-specific event in September as part of its celebration of the Assassin’s Creed franchise’s 15th anniversary, and on September 10 it will also hold its Ubisoft Forward showcase. Rift will probably be discussed at one of the two.

Ubisoft has delayed other titles besides Rift. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is now anticipated to release at some point during the company’s 2023 fiscal year, the company announced earlier this week. This suggests that the release date for the game may be 2024.

Along with Ghost Recon Frontline and Splinter Cell VR, the company also declared that it had halted work on two other unnamed games.
