Recently, a Pokémon fan caught 148 Shiny Pokémon in just over 17 hours of continuous play of the newly released video game Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

A marathon play of seventeen hours, a dedicated Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl streamer caught 148 Shiny Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, billed as remakes of Nintendo’s original 2006 Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, which were released just last month. In Pokémon BDSP, Pokémon fans are already catching the notoriously elusive and rare Shiny Pokémon types.

Shiny Pokémon are a rare breed of Pokémon that have a different color scheme than their normal counterparts, first introduced in 1999’s Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver. Despite the fact that Shiny Pokémon have the same strength as regular Pokémon, Pokémon fans are often obsessed with finding one.

The said Shiny Pokémon can be obtained in a different number of ways. Aside from chance encounters with Shinies, players can use a Poké Radar to create a chain. Professor Oak will give the item to the player once they have completed the Sinnoh Pokédex in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The Poké Radar allows players to see where specific Pokémon, including Shiny Pokémon, are hiding in the tall grass.

The Masuda method, which increases the chances of breeding a Shiny if one of the parent Pokémon is from a different country, is another way to catch a Shiny Pokémon.

One Pokémon streamer recently caught 148 Shiny Pokémon in just seventeen hours of continuous play of the newly released Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Twitch streamer Nomeyy, has been live-streaming the game for seventeen days and counting. As a way of commemorating the game’s release, the streamer has dedicated herself to playing it.

Nomeyy, who usually streams Pokémon-related content, has 148 Shiny Pokémon as of this writing because staying awake for more than seventeen hours is difficult for most humans, and has enlisted her partner’s help Jack to keep the stream going. The Pokémon streamer is so close to catching 150 Shiny Pokémon that she might just make it before the end of her broadcast.

On Twitch, streaming Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl has proven to be more popular than streaming other recent Pokémon games. The Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl received 18.4 million hours of content watched in just one week after its release and by million views, this surpassed the hours of content watched for the most recent entries in the Pokémon series, 2019’s Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are likely to set new content viewing records for future Pokémon games, as the stream demonstrates.

The fact that Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were released less than a month ago, another Pokémon game is on the way and it is reported that on January 28, 2022.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be released for the first time. Until then, fans can catch a Shiny or two by tuning in to a Twitch stream of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl.

The Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Nintendo Switch games are now available.
