Twitch will reduce the minimum payout amount for users in Argentina, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, and Taiwan from $100 to $50. In the near future, Twitch intends to extend this lower threshold to more nations.

Only if their monthly earnings have surpassed a predetermined threshold are Twitch streamers paid on a monthly basis. Currently, the majority of Twitch streamers need at least $100 in their account balance in order to get paid on time. This sum was generated by subscriptions, bits, or donations on Twitch.

This number can be challenging for new affiliate streamers to consistently reach, which could lead to months of delayed payouts. The reduction in the required amount by half due to Twitch’s new $50 threshold may encourage more indie streamers to continue their careers there.

The reduced payout option will initially only be available in six countries, but Twitch promised to add more until November. Users must check their payout method, payout status, payout details, and have $50 or more in their Twitch account if they live in a country that is eligible for the lower payout.

Twitch will get in touch with affiliated and partnered creators who can accept the amount. Through the slow rollout, the list of nations with a $50 minimum payout threshold will also be updated.
