Tyler Niknam, aka Trainwreck, live-streamed the gambling session to his fans over the weekend. He won $1.65 million when the ball landed on the number 10 after wagering $350,000 per spin. He earned a further $2.1 million on the very next spin when the ball landed on the 11, bringing his total earnings to $3.75 million.
Trainwreck lost nearly $1 million in the next three spins, demonstrating the high stakes at play. He then shifted his focus to online blackjack, where he wagered $360,000 per round.
The top spot still belongs to Charles Wells. In 1881, he won 2 million CHF (Swiss Francs) playing roulette in Monte Carlo. That sum would now be worth around $2.1 million, but it would have been in the tens of millions of dollars at the time. Despite the fact that Wells was a well-known con artist, the Monte Carlo Casino Resort allegedly found nothing suspicious about his lucky streak.
Pedro Grendene Bartelle was recently named among the top roulette winners after winning $3.5 million on a single spin in 2017. The businessman is the owner of one of Latin America’s largest footwear companies. He was able to win such a large sum by betting $35,000 on just one number.
