Twitch gambler Trainwreck recently made headlines several times in recent months for securing some of his largest payouts to date. Now, the Texan has etched his name into the annals of roulette history by claiming two of the game’s biggest wins.
Tyler Niknam, aka Trainwreck, live-streamed the gambling session to his fans over the weekend. He won $1.65 million when the ball landed on the number 10 after wagering $350,000 per spin. He earned a further $2.1 million on the very next spin when the ball landed on the 11, bringing his total earnings to $3.75 million.
Trainwreck lost nearly $1 million in the next three spins, demonstrating the high stakes at play. He then shifted his focus to online blackjack, where he wagered $360,000 per round.
The top spot still belongs to Charles Wells. In 1881, he won 2 million CHF (Swiss Francs) playing roulette in Monte Carlo. That sum would now be worth around $2.1 million, but it would have been in the tens of millions of dollars at the time. Despite the fact that Wells was a well-known con artist, the Monte Carlo Casino Resort allegedly found nothing suspicious about his lucky streak.
Pedro Grendene Bartelle was recently named among the top roulette winners after winning $3.5 million on a single spin in 2017. The businessman is the owner of one of Latin America’s largest footwear companies. He was able to win such a large sum by betting $35,000 on just one number.
Ashley Revell is also on the list. At the age of 32, the London-born man sold everything he owned and traveled to Las Vegas to gamble it all away on roulette. He bet $135,300 on red and received a $270,600 payout. The following scene was captured on film by a film crew:
Trainwreck recently set a new world record for the highest non-jackpot online slot win ever. While live streaming on Twitch, he won $22.5 million playing Might of Ra.
Despite his large wins, the Texan streamer warns his fans against gambling, claiming that he is still millions of dollars in debt.
