Annual Twitch recaps are returning, but you’ll need to make sure you have the right account settings to receive the message.
The platform’s yearly recap messages for 2020 were sent out to both viewers and streamers. The emails included information about how much time users spent watching Twitch, who they watched the most, and who they shared viewers with.
The emails for 2020 were sent out a few weeks into 2021. However, according to a tweet from Twitch today, fans might want to start preparing a little earlier this year.
Users should check their account settings to ensure they don’t miss the email, according to a tweet from the platform. You must have marketing email notifications enabled on your account to receive this email.
To do so, log in to Twitch and go to your settings, then to the “Notifications” tab at the top of the screen, which is the fifth tab from the left.
Open the “By Email” notification options once you’ve arrived. This will display a number of notification options for your account that you can enable or disable, but the most important one in this case is the last one labeled “Marketing.”
You’re done if that section has a purple check mark next to it. Otherwise, simply click the button to the right of the “Marketing” label to get started.
