Following his infamous ban from Twitch, Dr Disrespect has lashed out at the Call of Duty team for failing to support him, admitting that he made the decision to exclude him personally.
From his underwhelmed reaction to the Modern Warfare 2 reveal to his well-documented issues with the state of the battle royale, Dr Disrespect has been a vocal critic of both Warzone and the Call of Duty series as a whole in recent months.
The streamer has frequently abandoned the series, particularly Warzone, but has always returned after a brief hiatus. He’s even working on his own battle royale game, which he hopes will compete with Warzone when it launches.
One of the main sources of Doc’s dissatisfaction with the series turns out to be resentment from his infamous Twitch ban.
Dr Disrespect was asked why he ‘rips’ Call of Duty so much during a live stream. When he was abruptly dropped by Twitch, the two-time began criticizing the team behind the series for turning their back on him. He then went on to talk about the “multiple commercials” and various projects he worked on in CoD, even mentioning his previous work on the games.
He continued to call the CoD developers “phonies” and chastised the series’ current state, both in Warzone and Vanguard.
It wasn’t just Call of Duty; he also accused Electronic Arts of doing the “exact same thing” and abandoning the streamer after his suspension.
Dr Disrespect doesn’t seem to have much good to say about the Call of Duty series these days, so we’ll have to wait and see if his own studio’s upcoming ‘Project Moon’ game will raise the bar.
