Sodapoppin, a streaming veteran, recalled one of his strangest encounters with a cop, who took him on an impromptu ride-along.
Sodapoppin has had multiple cases of swatting and has had to interact with the police in each incident as one of the longest-running and most successful livestreamers. The Twitch streamer recalled a time early in his career when viewers ordered so many pizzas to his house that police officers were dispatched to investigate.
He described his interaction with one officer after being cleared of any potential criminal wrongdoings.
Sodapoppin also described how the officer demonstrated his job by taking him, Nmplol and his then-girlfriend out. The streamer claimed that this included displaying his equipment and dog, which Sodapoppin assumed only occurred because the police officer wanted him to stream it. The conversation ended, but it was not the last time he heard from him.
The same police officer allegedly contacted Sodapoppin again nearly five years after the swatting incident and police interaction. He said later in his stream that the officer asked him to promote a friend’s GoFundMe. Sodapoppin described it as a lesson learned, lamenting how random encounters or vague acquaintances frequently ask him for money after years of silence.
Sodapoppin has had a lot of strange stream interactions, but this is the first one that came back to him.
