Snoop Dogg recently delivered some of the most important news saying that Dr. Dre is currently working on new music for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game.
Snoop Dogg announced the news on the Rolling Stone Music Now Podcast as a guest. Snoop Dogg said in an episode set to air on Friday saying that he is aware that Dr. Dre is currently present in the studio and said that he’s sure Dr. Dre is making fantastic music and some of his music is linked to the upcoming GTA game saying that believes that the GTA video game will be the vehicle for Dr. Dre music to be released.
It’s possible that Snoop Dogg is referring to the recently announced remaster of the Grand Theft Auto trilogy. In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Dr. Dre was featured on the radio stations, but those were previously released songs.
As of now, Rockstar hasn’t said how much music has been licensed for the new games, or if any of it has been replaced. Perhaps Snoop Dogg is referring to the “expanded and enhanced” GTA Online, which was supposed to launch alongside the next-gen versions of Grand Theft Auto 5, but has been postponed.
In the summer of 2021, Rockstar added new music features to GTA Online. In GTA Online, collecting “Media Sticks” unlocks new music for their vehicle radio stations, including music that hasn’t been released elsewhere. Perhaps new Dr. Dre music will be available first in a future GTA Online update.
Snoop Dogg is now a professional Twitch streamer and expert gamer. However, this slip of the tongue could be a foreshadowing of what’s to come from one of gaming’s most storied franchises. However, someone needs to inform Rockstar that no one wants to hear about Grand Theft Auto 5.
The PC requirements for the Grand Theft Auto trilogy, which will be released on November 11th, can be found here.
