Snip3down is an OG pro-Halo player who first entered the scene back in 2008 when he started attending and winning major LAN tournaments. He was 16 years old at the time. WHAT MONITOR DOES SNIP3DOWN USE?

ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QM monitor

Snip3down uses an ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QM monitor. The ASUS TUF VG259QM is a 24.5″ monitor with LED backlighting, the brightness of 400cd/㎡ , and a Full HD 1920 x 1080p resolution. It is capable of refreshing at an incredibly high rate of 280Hz @ 1ms (GtG). Other major features include its suite of game-enhancing technologies, which include its G-Sync and ELMB-Sync compatibility to reduce screen-tearing, as well as its flicker-free and ultra-low blue light technology. WHAT MOUSE DOES SNIP3DOWN USE?

Snip3down uses a Logitech G Pro wireless gaming mouse. Until recently the Logitech G Pro Wireless mouse was one of the most commonly used gaming mice among content creators, although this might change now that Logitech has released the Logitech G Pro X Superlight. However, despite being an older model, the Logitech G Pro wireless uses the same Hero 25K optical sensor as the newer model and offers some features that this newer device does not. These are its truly ambidextrous design that allows the user to add or remove two side buttons to either side of the mouse, thereby allowing for options of either 4, 6, or 8 macro buttons.

As for the sensor, the older version may have the Hero 3 sensor, so beware. That aside, the Hero 25K offers a DPI range of 100 – 25,600 that can be set in increments of 50 through the G Hub software. Up to six DPI profiles can then be stored onboard the mouse itself. Its dimensions are 3.82 x 62.15 x 11.66cm (1.57 x 2.5 x 4.92”) and it weighs 79g (2.7oz.)

Snip3down uses a Logitech G Pro keyboard. The Logitech G Pro found in Spin3down’s gaming setup is another popular device that can also be found in the setups of Diegosaurs, Destroy, and Datto, to name a few. It is a tenkeyless, wired, gaming keyboard that is constructed from a steel backplate is encased in plastic and set with GX Blue switches that are then topped with removable ABS keycaps. The switches actuate at 2mm with a force of 50G and have a total travel distance of 4mm.

Another plus is that the Logitech G HUB has preset macro profiles for over 580 games and also allows for the user to set up their own bindings. The FN+F-keys can then be set with macro profiles for easy access to your favorite ones. Snip3down uses Bose SoundSport Earbuds. Snip3down’s gaming setup includes the Bose SoundSport earbuds rather than a typical gaming headset, as he started using them when his Astro A40 TRs broke. He found that they were adequate, and so did not bother buying a new headset. The SoundSports were designed for workout purposes such as jogging, which is why they feature a headband cord that fits behind the head, as well as a removable clothes clip to help keep it secure. They offer two wireless options, namely Bluetooth and NCF, and have a battery life of up to six hours. However, they cannot be used while charging.

They have both an inline microphone, as well as inline media controls. These controls include skip and playback functions, volume control, and a mute button. Their integrated multi-point technology also allows them to be connected to two devices simultaneously. They can be toggled between with the touch of a button on the inline control. Snip3down uses a Sony a5100 camera. The Sony a5100 is an entry-level compact mirrorless camera with a solid build. It features a 24mp Exmor CMOS sensor that is capable of recording at a FULL HD resolution at up to 60p at a frame rate of 6fps. It offers an ISO range of 100 – 25000 that can be extended with a Sony E-mount countable lens. Additionally, it provides ultra-fast autofocus thanks to its 179 AF points. Its LCD can be flipped up to 180° screen. This is useful for taking selfies and vlogging. However, as it is one of Sony’s older models does not have the low-light adaptability of Sony’s newer models. It does feature a selection of coloring effects, though. If you are just starting out, it may be advisable to stick with a basic webcam such as the Logitech C922 like the one that CallMeCarlsonLive uses.

WHAT MIXER DOES SNIP3DOWN USE?

Snip3down uses a TC Helicon GoXLR mixer. The TC Helicon GoXLR is probably the most common solo-input mixer found in the setups of content creators. It provides the user with 4-channels on its left side for Mic, Chat, Music, and System. Each of these channels has its own dedicated slider and mute button. The right is then split into three parts. The Top section provides a selection of pre-set sound effects, as well as the option to set them with other effects from the software. Some effects include gender-bender and robotic effects. The bottom section is then broken into a sample section with which to set prerecorded sounds for on-the-fly effects during live recordings on the left, while the right bottom corner has a mic mute and bleep out button for live damage-control

It also provides input for either one TS/TRS/TRRS or XLR microphone, as well as and one set of headphones. It is capable of producing up to +40V phantom power with the press of a button. It can also provide up to 70dB of gain. Finally, the controls can also be set with separate RGB lighting effects through the software.
