Skadoodle is a professional Valorant player who originally started out as a pro-Alliance of Valliant Arms player in 2010 before moving on to CS:GO in 2012. After taking a two-year hiatus in 2018 from burnout, he decided to take another stab at the pro-scene with Valorant. WHAT MONITOR DOES SKADOODLE USE?

BenQ ZOWIE XL2540

Skadoodle uses a BenQ ZOWIE XL2540 monitor. The XL2540 is a 24.5” gaming monitor with a TN LCD display that offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution. It refreshes at a maximum of 240Hz at a response time of 1ms. It is also both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync compatible which both prevent screen tearing and stuttering. Both also require the relevant GPU card, as does the refresh rate. It also comes with a number of other features including Black eQualizer which enhances the brightness in dark screens, as well as Low Blue Light and Color Vibrance features, among others.

It is highly adjustable as it can be tilted at -5°~20°, swiveled at -45°~45°, pivoted 90° and can be height adjusted up to 14cm. Its dimensions are 90° and it has VESA wall-mounting capabilities. WHAT MOUSE DOES SKADOODLE USE?

Logitech G Pro wireless

Skadoodle uses a Logitech G Pro wireless mouse. Skadoodle’s gaming setup features one of the most popular wireless gaming mice used by streamers. These include LVNDMARK, UnknownxArmy and s1mple. The newer model has a Hero 25K optical sensor that offers a range of 100 – 25,600 dpi that can be set in increments of 50 via the Logitech G Hub software. Up to 6 dpi profiles can then be stored on the mouse itself. It can run at a polling rate of 1000Hz @1ms and operates a maximum acceleration of 40g and speed of 400 IPS.

It has a truly ambidextrous design, in that it not only has a symmetrical shape, but also comes with two set of 2 side buttons that can be added or removed from either side of the mouse. This allows for the potential of between 4 – 8 buttons on the mouse. Furthermore, it is also suitable for all grip types. Skadoodle uses a Logitech G640 mousepad. The Logitech G640 is large cloth gaming mousepad that has dimensions of 40 x 0.3 x 46cm (15.75 x 0.12 x 18.11”). It has a soft, consistent surface to allow for the mouse to have smooth movement. It is also bonded to a rubberized base that helps to keep it in place during use. As an added bonus, it can be easily rolled up for storage or transportation purposes.

WHAT KEYBOARD DOES SKADOODLE USE?

Logitech G Pro

Skadoodle uses a Logitech G Pro keyboard. This is a wired, tenkeyless gaming keyboard set with GX Blue switches that operate at an actuation force of 50G and an actuation point of 2mm with a total travel distance of 3.7mm. They give off a clicky feedback. It is constructed around a steel backplate that is encased in plastic to give it extra durability. The switches are then set with keycaps.

Its per-key RGB, LIGHTSYNC-compatible backlighting can be set through the Logitech G Pro software, as can the macro profiles on the 12 F-keys. There is also a Game Mode button that will deactivate certain keys to prevent them from being activated during gameplays. It has dimensions of 3.4 x 36.1 x 15.3cm (14.96 x 1.97 x 6.3”) and is compatible with PC, Mac and PS4 devices.

WHAT HEADSET DOES SKADOODLE USE?

Logitech G Pro X

Skadoodle uses a Logitech G Pro X headset. Skadoodle’s gaming setup features the wired version of the Logitech G Pro X headset. It is an upgrade of the Logitech G Pro that now features a microphone that has been enhanced with Blue Voice technology. Some of the new function introduced by this include a noise reducer, compressor and limiter to enhance the overall quality of the input. Otherwise, the mic has a 4mm condenser capsule that operates on a unidirectional polar pattern which offers a response rate of 100 – 10,000Hz.

As for the headphones, they are integrated with hybrid mesh PRO-G 50mm neodymium drivers that provide a frequency response range of 20 – 20,000Hz at a nominal impedance of 32Ω. The over-ear headphones are padded with leatherette-padded memory foam for extra noise-cancelling, but they can be swapped out for the spare pair of velour ear pads that they come with. The earphones are connected to the steel headband sliders with glass fiber reinforced nylon joints. The headband is also padded. They weigh 259g (0.82lbs) and have dimensions of 17.2 x 8.17 x 18.2cm (5.43 x 3.70 x 7.68″.)

WHAT MICROPHONE DOES SKADOODLE USE?

Shure SM7B

Skadoodle uses a Shure SM7B microphone. This is another popular piece of equipment and is found In the setups of top streamers such as Pengu, Blaustoise and iiTzTimmy. It is a dynamic microphone that is construction from dark gray enamel aluminum and steel casing. It has a unidirectional polar pattern with a frontal address and provides a frequency response rate of 50 – 20,000Hz at a nominal impedance of 150Ω.

It features a built-in pop-filter to prevent plosive sounds from disturbing the recordings, as well as an external windscreen to block out electrical interference. Its witch cover plate can be used to cover its presence boost button and high pass press filter switch.

WHAT MIXER DOES SKADOODLE USE?

Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd GenCloudlifter CL-1

 

Skadoodle uses a Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) mixer paired with a Cloudlifter CL-1 mic activator. The Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) is a single-channel XLR mic preamp that is designed to provide up to 48V of phantom power. This function can be turned off. It can also accommodate one headset, as well as one instrument input. Additionally, it has AD-DA converters that are capable of recording and mixing at up to 24-bit/ 192kHz. It also comes with a variety of editing tools, including the First Focusrite Creative Pack, Ableton Live Lite, Softube Time and Tone Bundle, Focusrite’s Red Plug-in Suite and a 3-month trial of Splice.

As for the Cloudlifter CL-1, it helps to boost the phantom-powered mic’s gain by +25dB. This helps to reduce feedback from filtering in during live recordings. However, although it is intended for use with phantom-powered mics, it cannot supply the mic with phantom power and will require an extra XLR cable to act as a go-between with the microphone and mixer.
