During a sponsored Twitch stream, Michael ‘Shroud‘ Grzesiek played the new Apex Legends Control mode coming in Season 12 ahead of schedule and gave his verdict after a few rounds.
Control is a new limited-time mode in Apex Legends Season 12 that Respawn announced on February 1st.
It’s based on the classic arena shooter mode, in which two teams compete for control of map points — hence the name.
Shroud was given the opportunity to play it before it was released, and he naturally shared his thoughts as he went along, revealing some of the game’s biggest pros and cons in the process.
Shroud expressed some reservations right away after entering the mode for the first time. He also acknowledged that things can get a little crazy at times.
However, the more he played, the more he liked it. The fact that players keep respawning was one of his favorite aspects of the game. His team eventually won, and he finished first on the leaderboard with 23 kills. He stated his opinion on the mode once more.
That isn’t to say he thinks it’s perfect. He pointed out that the mode’s nature can cause issues.
When Apex Legends Season 12 launches on February 8th, players will be able to jump right into the action and put it to the test.
