Twitch star Michael Grzesiek aka Shroud has shared some thoughts about the twitch outrage over twitch streamer HasanAbi buying a $3 million house in Los Angeles stating that the backlash was ridiculous.
Twitch streamer Hasan Piker aka HasanAbi has become the talk of the town in the past few days after it has been revealed by a real estate website that Hasan just bought a $2.74 million home through his streaming career. Hasan’s buying a new house has received a mixed response from the netizens with some people have called him out for not practicing what he preaches, given that he’s apparently living a luxurious lifestyle. Some people also defended him stating that there is nothing wrong with building a successful career and enjoying the perks.
During a recent live stream, Twitch streamer shroud has weighed in on the internet’s backlash on Twitch streamer HasanAbi stating that the backlash was ridiculous. Here’s what he said; “Dude, why is that trending? That is the most ridiculous thing to be trending, ever. It literally makes no sense. I think it’s just because he’s in politics, right? If you’re in politics, any little thing that you do, any purchase you make, any step you take, if you’re a political kind of person, it just comes with the territory, right?”
Shroud then compared this to stream sniping saying it is an inevitable inconvenience that comes as collateral to the fame of a streamer. Similarly, a political commentator like Hasan will probably have to face scrutiny in anything he does. Hasan was not the only streamer who faced backlash after buying a new house as twitch streamer Neekolul also faced backlash when she revealed that she buys a $2m apartment.
