Popular Twitch streamer and former CS:GO pro Shroud recently revealed that he has spent thousands of dollars on Amazon’s latest MMO, Lost Ark.
Lost Ark has seen a meteoric rise in both Twitch and the player base since its launch almost a month ago. The MMO quickly surpassed 1 million concurrent players and drew the attention of a slew of streamers and content creators.
Despite claiming that Lost Ark was one of the most boring games he’d ever played, the primarily FPS player has returned to Amazon’s MMO, streaming Lost Ark for at least eight hours nearly every day since February 14th.
It’s safe to say that the streamer is enamored with the recently released MMO, but Shroud showed his audience how deeply he has invested in it.
Shroud pointed out the seemingly endless list of $100 microtransactions he had made on Lost Ark while looking through his Steam purchase history.
Shroud’s excessive use of microtransactions has slowed his progress through the game’s content. Now that he’s forced to pace himself through the rest of Lost Ark’s content, Shroud has stated that he’s determined to keep his microtransactions to a minimum.
