S1mple has been part of the pro-CS:GO scene since 2014 and s one of the few who managed to keep his momentum going throughout the years by consistently ranking high in tournaments. Another noteworthy mention is that he has been part f the same team, Natus Vincere (Na’Vi) since August 2016, which is rather unusual for the pro-scene and is testament to both his commitment of the game, as well as his teamwork and reliability.

Although he is sponsored by Logitech, it is still worthwhile to review the equipment in S1mple’s gaming setup, as he has used it to put many first places under his belt.

WHAT MONITOR DOES S1MPLE USE?

S1mple uses a BenQ ZOWIE XL2540 24.5-inch monitor. The XL2540 is a full HD monitor that offers a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 at a refresh rate of up to 240Hz (although this is dependent up the processing capacity of the PC’s other hardware.) Its pixel pitch is 0.28mm It also integrates flicker-free, Black eQualizer, and low blue light technology to enhance gameplay.

The monitor itself can be pivoted by 90, swiveled between -45 to 45 and tilted between -5 and 20. The height can be adjusted between 445.75 and 515.43mm (17.55 – 20.3”) from the desk, with its total dimensions at full height being 515.43 x 569.94 x 226.04mm (22.44 x 17.55 x 8.90”). It can also be removed from the mount to make use of its VES 100 x 100mm wall-mounting compatibility.

There are shields on either side to block peripheral distractions. It also comes with an S-Switch that allows you to store up to three display settings to easily toggles your preferences when you’re playing different games or performing different tasks.

WHAT MOUSE DOES S1MPLE USE?

S1mple uses a Logitech G Pro wireless mouse. The Logitech G pro wireless mouse has an ergonomic that is fully ambidextrous, as in addition to the clickers, dpi button and scroll wheel, it also offers four additional side-buttons that can be set two apiece on either or both sides.

It utilizes a Hero 3 optical sensor that can reach a dpi range of up to 16,000Hz that can be set from 100 onwards in increments of 50. These can be set through the Logitech G Hub software with a potential for up to 5 dpi profiles to be stored directly on the mouse. These can then be toggled between with the dpi button that is located on the mouse’s underside. Furthermore, the sensor is also capable of tracking at speeds of up to 400ips at a reports rate of up to 1,000Hz@1ms.

It weighs in at 79g (1.8oz) and has dimensions of 3.82 x 62.15 x 11.66cm (1.57 x 2.5 x 4.92”.) It also has four 100% PTFE feet and comes with a 1.8m (70.86”) USB charging cable. It can be used while charging regardless of whether this is being done with the cable or the Powerplay mousepad.

WHAT MOUSEPAD DOES S1MPLE USE?

S1mple uses a Logitech G Powerplay mousepad. This is a smooth plastic mousepad that is designed to continuously charge Logitech’s G502, G703, G903 and Pro wireless mice while they are in use. Its dimensions are 32 x 1.02 x 27.43cm (12.6 x 0.4 x 10.8”). The logo on the connector port, as well as the borders have Lightsync RGB capabilities that can be set through the Logitech G Hub software.

WHAT KEYBOARD DOES S1MPLE USE?

S1mple uses a Logitech G Pro X keyboard. The Logitech G Pro X keyboard is an updated version of the Logitech G Pro that offers GX switches instead of Romer G switches. There are three switch options on the official site, namely Blue (Clicky), Brown (Tactile), and Red (Linear) options. The Blue and Browns both have an actuation distance of 2mm, and actuation force of 50g and a total travel distance of 3.7mm, while the Red has an actuation distance of 1.9mm, an actuation force of 50g and a total travel distance of 4mm. They all have a report rate of 1ms. The keyboard switches are hot-swappable, so you can by spare sets of other GX switches to change out as needed.

Otherwise, the keyboard is tenkeyless with two extra buttons on the top right corner for adjusting brightness and locking the Windows key, as well as 12 programmable F-keys. The Lightsync RGB backlighting can be set through the Logitech G Hub software. Its dimensions are 3.4 x 36.1 x 15.3cm (1.34 x 14.21 x 6.02”.)

WHAT HEADSET DOES S1MPLE USE?

S1mple uses a Logitech G Pro X headset. S1mple’s gaming setup includes the same headset that appears in those of Bugha, chocoTaco and Beaulo, to name a few other top streamers. It is an updated version of the original Logitech G Pro headset that now integrates Blue Vo!ce technology to enhance the audio quality of the electret condenser microphone. This mic is unidirectional and provides a frequency response range of 100 – 10,000Hz, and is 6mm (0.24”) long, making it 2mm (0.08”) longer than that of the previous headset.

As for the headset itself, its earphones are set with hybrid mesh PRO-G 50mm drivers fitted with neodymium magnets which allow for a frequency response range of between 20 – 20,000Hz with a nominal impedance of 32Ohms and a sensitivity of 91.7dB. This sensitivity is 15.3dB lower than that of its predecessor. They also have a closed back design that provides a DTS 7.1 surround sound experience and the earcups are padded with leatherette-covered memory foam.

The headband is also padded and is adjustable and flexible. Its frame is built from aluminum and steel. In addition to a spare set of velour earpads, the Logitech G Pro X also comes with a carrying bag.
