An IRL streamer that goes by the name Peeggu was perplexed when a stranger on a bicycle approached him and kicked him in his sensitive part of the body for no apparent reason during a live broadcast – and he’s now filing charges against them.

IRL broadcasts are almost usually the scene of some of Twitch’s most unusual and mind-blowing events. You can always expect something strange to happen, from streamers missing famous personalities to being assaulted and robbed by a monkey. Unfortunately, this frequently takes the form of violence, which is often only de-escalated by the presence of a camera. In September 2021, for example, a streamer named CookSux was contacted by a complete stranger in Hawaii who challenged him to a fight.

Now, another IRL streamer experienced this. Twitch IRL streamer Peeguu was doing something in the IRL stream in Taipei when he was stunned by a burst of violence from a random stranger pedaling past.

Peeguu is sat on a bench, minding his own business on his phone, when a stranger bikes by and gets extremely near to him, kicking him before cycling away. Peeguu stated after a brief stare at the stranger who kicked him; “That guy kicked me in the nuts. I should’ve f**ked him up.”

The streamer quickly moved on, adding that he had “missed” and that he believes that person is a viewer of the stream. Peeguu announced on Twitter shortly after the video went public that he will file charges against his assailant to the utmost extent.

Also in reply to the tweet, he added; “No one has the right to assault anyone. I personally don’t believe in the use of violence – unless absolutely necessary. He is some random stranger that I’ve never encountered.”

Given the number of previous occurrences on Twitch, it’s troubling that this tendency persists, especially when IRL broadcasters share their travels with viewers. This brutality is intolerable, and by taking a stance in court, this streamer may be able to help minimize the number of attacks.
