After taking a long hiatus, Twitch streamer MrMoonsHouse was completely shocked over Twitch’s new ASMR meta upon returning to the platform stating that “Twitch became an adult site”.
Twitch streaming platform has had a few wild moments over the past couple of months. Some controversial “meta” has arisen including the hot tub meta which popular streamers like Amouranth, indiefoxx and more have gotten involved. The platform took action by creating another category on the site named ‘Pools, hot tub & beach’ so that the streamers wouldn’t be streaming under the Just chatting content.
After this, the meta has seemingly died down, however, the hot tub streamers found another way as they started the ASMR ‘earlicking’ meta where they were lying down while wearing yoga pants and licking their ear shaped microphones. The controversial metas have become the center of the attention within the community for the last few months but it seems like not everyone was aware of the events unfolding.
Twitch streamer and partner MrMoonsHouse, well known for playing role-playing games such as GTA Online and Red Dead Redemption, among other titles, returned to the platform recently after his nine months long hiatus. Given that he was on a hiatus, it seems that he was not aware of the significant breaking events that have taken place on Twitch over the last few months.
During his return stream while playing GTA RP, he gave his thoughts on the situation and unsurprisingly, they weren’t positive. MrMoonsHouse revealed that he was in ‘awe’ with what he was seeing in the ASMR category. He then further stated that “Twitch briefly became an adult site while you were gone”.
Here’s what he said; “It was literally like a couple of days ago when it was the first time I looked in that section, and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I was in awe. It blew my mind. I was looking at it in awe. Like, woah, wait a minute here. Really? What the f***. I was like, holy s***. That’s all I can say.”
