YouTuber Matthew Beem was sent to a mysterious island by Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson with the promise of discovering an exciting secret, but there was a twist that Beem didn’t see coming.
MrBeast, a YouTuber and entrepreneur, has a slew of elaborate tricks up his sleeve. The content creator has done it all, from launching a replica Willy Wonka factory to hosting an incredible Squid Game-inspired competition.
In August of 2020, he even purchased a private island for a few videos. He hadn’t done anything with it until recently. Matthew Beem, a fellow YouTuber, set sail in search of a major treasure left behind by MrBeast, but the story had a twist.
Beem followed Donaldson’s instructions, which led him to the location known as “MrBeast Island,” which he arrived at after MrBeast. Beem was awaiting “beaches with pigs, two different caves,” and more on the island, but what treasure was awaiting him? He finally found a treasure chest with a letter after days of camping out in the tropical paradise.
Beem became perplexed when he discovered that the treasure chest contained nothing but sand. He and his companions had attempted to start their own campfire and brave the wilderness in preparation for finding the treasure chest. MrBeast is notorious for concocting legendary events, so who knows, maybe a return to the deserted island is in the works for a future video.
