Demetrious Johnson AKA Mighty Mouse is known as one of the most decorated fighters in MMA history, but as he nears the end of his career, many are wondering what his next move will be. Johnson had known for a long time that he was going to be a full-time Twitch streamer.
Johnson has been a Twitch streamer for a long time. When he’s not training, you can find him on the internet playing the next big game. He recently played Lost Ark, the hottest game on Steam. For a while, he was streaming so frequently that it felt like a second job to him, and it was in many ways.
Johnson told the Washington Post that he was fully prepared to make the transition from MMA to full-time Twitch streaming once his MMA career was over. He eventually decided it wasn’t for him due to the erratic schedules that Twitch streamers are known for.
Johnson’s passion for video games is genuine. He’s never shied away from admitting it, but the amount of effort and luck required to be successful on Twitch is just as exhausting as Johnson claims. It can feel as if a person’s life has been taken over by it, and they don’t have time to do anything else but work on their stream in order to make a living from it.
For the time being, Johnson will keep Twitch streaming as a hobby. After his MMA career is over, he might be able to turn his passion for gaming into a career.
