WHAT MONITOR DOES MAXIMILIAN_DOOD USE?

Maximilian_DOOD’s gaming setup includes an Asus ROG Swift PG279Q monitor. The ROG Swift PG279Q is a 27-inch monitor that provides a true resolution of 2560 x 1440p. It has the capacity for refreshing at 165Hz, providing that it is supported with the right hardware, and also has a 4ms response time. The integrated ASUS’ Eye Care Technology offers a low blue light mode with four different settings to help reduce eye strain during long gaming sessions.

The stand allows the monitor to swivel between +60° and -60°, height adjusted between 0 and 12cm, to pivot 90° clockwise and to tilt between +20° and -5°. Its viewing angle is 178°(H)/178°(V). The monitor can easily be removed from the stand with a push button in order to utilize its VESA 100 x 100mm wall mounting feature. Its dimensions with the stand are are 61.8 x 55.3 x 23.8cm (9.4 x 24.4 x 21.8-inch).

WHAT HEADSET DOES MAXIMILIAN_DOOD USE?

Maximilian_DOOD’s gaming setup includes Bose QuietComfort 25 headphones. These noise-cancelling headphones are closed-backed with an over-ear design and provide a stereo sound experience. The noise cancelling is powered with a AAA battery that is not rechargeable, which is interesting given that these headphones are wired. Unfortunately, there is no information available regarding its specifications such as its frequency response range or nominal impedance.

It is constructed from hard plastic so as to ensure that they are lightweight at 195.6g (6.9oz).  The earcups are padded with pleather-covered memory foam and can be rotated 90°. They also collapse inward. The headband is slightly flexible, adjustable and is cushioned with a soft padding.

They also come with a 142.2cm (56”)-long QC25 inline remote and microphone cable with a 3,5mm connector, an airline adapter and a hard-shell leather carrying case. compatible with apple mobile devices. The ear tags and headphones can be custom designed directly on the Bose website for an extra $100. The base choices are either black or white, with the white being accentuated with tan padding in on the earpads and headband padding.

WHAT MICROPHONE DOES MAXIMILIAN_DOOD USE?

Maximilian_DOOD uses an AT2020 XLR microphone. Maximilian_Dood’s gaming setup features the same microphone that is found in many other streamer’s setups, including Gosu, TeePee and TSM_Daequan. This microphone utilizes a unidirectional polar patter that offers a frequency response range of 20 – 20,000Hz with a nominal impedance of 1000 ohms and a signal-to-noise ratio of 74dB/1kHz @ 1Pa. It is important to note that he does have two other microphones in his studio, but this is the one that he uses during his solo gaming streams.

It requires 48V of phantom power, so you will need to buy both a 3-pin XLRN cable and relevant audio interface, as well as a microphone stand. There is also a USB version available.

WHAT WEBCAM DOES MAXIMILIAN_DOOD USE?

Maximilian_DOOD uses a Sony a7 III camera with a Sony SEL2470GM FE 24- 70mm lens. He has gone all-out with this combination, as together they come out at over $4,000 USD. This is unsurprising given that the Sony a7 III alone offers an ISO range of 100 – 51,200 that can be expanded to 50 – 2,048,07. Its lens has 4D autofocus as well a 24.2MP CSI full-frame image sensor which can process data at up to 1.8x the regular speed. This mirrorless camera also features built-in 5-stop image shake reduction, as well as image stabilization and a 15-stop dynamic range.

It has a battery life of up to 200mins of continuous shooting, which would necessitate purchasing extra batteries for lengthy out-door shoots. These features alone, without taking the lens’ capabilities into account are arguably far beyond the  requirements of a basic steam, as there are many top streamers who are happy to stick with a basic webcam even though they can definitely afford a professional camera they wanted.

WHAT MIXER DOES MAXIMILIAN_DOOD USE?

Mackie Mix8 mixer

Maximilian_DOOD uses a Mackie Mix8 mixer. The Mackie Mix8 is a compact mixer. However, only six of the channels are for whereas two of the channels are actually line input slots. It has two mic XLR/line-inputs, two stereo ¼” line inputs, one auxiliary send with ¼“returns,  dedicated stereo RCA inputs and outputs for playback or recording and stereo control room outputs. It can provide phantom power.

Four of the channels have a column of six control knobs, three blue EQ knobs for adjusting highs, mids and lows,  a green auxiliary knob, a pan switch, and level gain input knob. On the right side, are the controls for the control room headphones, as well as a main mix knob with small LED readers for the left and right channels.

However, it doesn’t have a USB port or effects. If this is important to you, you can find them on the Mix12. It is designed to be compact, with dimensions of 24.4 x 19.8 x 5.3cm (9.6 x 7.8 x 2.1”) and a weight of 1.3kg (2.5lbs).
