JasonR got his start in the pro-CS:GO scene as part of Splyce in 2016. However, he really started getting noticed when the qualified for the 2016 MLG and he was inspired by one of his teammates to start streaming on Twitch. This turned out to be the best decision for him, as he is now one of the top FPS streamers on the platform, although he is now maining Valorant. We have provided a list of the equipment that forms part of JasonR’s gaming setup in order to showcase what he uses to maintain his fps edge.


JasonR monitor for gaming

JasonR uses a BenQ XL2411P and a BenQ ZOWIE XL2546 monitor.

These two monitors offer slightly different specs. The XL2411P has a 24” screen, a 144Hz refresh rate, 2ms response time and brightness of 350 cd/㎡ whereas the XL2546 has a 24.5” screen, refresh rate options of 60,120,144 and 240Hz at 1ms, and a brightness of 320 cd/㎡. Otherwise, they can both be tilted at 5°/-20°, swiveled at -45°/45° and pivoted 90°. They also both have height adjustment options, although the XL2546 can extend one centimeter further up to 14cm (5.51”).

JasonR uses a Razer Viper Ultimate Hyperspeed mouse.

He uses a variety of different mice, including the Logitech G Pro Wireless, Logitech G703, Logitech G403 Hero 35K and the Logitech G403 Wireless. However, his main mouse is the Razer Viper Ultimate Hyperspeed. Firstly, it is important to note that the Hyperspeed is the same mouse as the Razer Viper Ultimate, it is just that it comes with an RGB charging dock.

It is obviously a wireless gaming mouse that is extremely lightweight at only 78g (2.75oz). It features a Razer Focus+ 20k DPI Optical that offers a 50 – 20,000 DPI range that can be set in increments of 50, with the possibility of storing up to 5 profiles directly on the mouse. Furthermore, it has a maximum acceleration of 50G and an impressive maximum racking speed of up to 650 IPS. Its battery can last up to 70 hours and it can either be charged on the dock, or with the 1.8m (6ft) braided cable. It is also available in four colors.

It has a truly ambidextrous design, with two programmable side buttons on either side. This is in addition to the four other programmable buttons. Its dimensions are 6.63 x 12.65 x 3.78cm (2.61 x 4.98 x 1.49″).

JasonR's mousepad for gaming

JasonR uses a SteelSeries QcK Large Cloth mousepad.

It is a micro-woven cloth mousepad that has a non-slip rubber underside to stop it from slipping during use. It can also be rolled up for storage and has dimensions of 45 x 40 x 0.2cm (17.72 x 15.75 x 0.08”.)

JasonR uses a Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum keyboard

JasonR uses a Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum keyboard.

The Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum is a wired gaming keyboard that is fitted with Romer G Tactile switches. These have a 45G actuation force with an actuation point of 1.5mm and a total travel distance of 3.2mm. They also offer 26-key rollover that allows for multi-key inputs. It has a full-size form factor and is fitted with Irion keycaps that are slightly contoured.

There is also a dedicated volume wheel and controls in the top right corner and its F-keys can be set with macros through the Logitech Gaming Software, as can its per-key RGB lighting. Its dimensions are 15.3 x 44.35 x 3.43cm (6 x 17.5 x 1.4″) and it weighs 1.18kg (2.6lbs.) Its underside is fitted with rubber feet to prevent the keyboard from moving during gameplay, and it also has three, level flip out feet to provide angle options of 0, 4 and 8°.

JasonR uses a HyperX Cloud Flight headset.

JasonR’s gaming setup includes the same headset as both Sceptic’s and Shroud’s. The HyperX Cloud Flight is a wireless headset with a closed-backed design. Its earcups are fitted with 50mm neodymium drivers that provide a 20 – 20,000Hz frequency response range while wireless, and a 15 – 23,000Hz range while plugged in. Its nominal impedance is at 32Ω and it has a sensitivity of 106dB SPL/ mW@1kHz.

This headset provides a stereo sound effect and a 2.4Ghz wireless range of up to 20m (65.6ft.) It also features a detachable electret condenser microphone that utilizes a unidirectional polar pattern. It offers a frequency response range of 100 – 7,000Hz that is slightly narrower than the usual headset mic range of 100 – 10,000Hz. It has a steel headband slider that is covered in solid plastic. The earpads are made of leatherette-covered memory foam and the headband is also padded. Additionally, the earcups can rotate 90° to comfortably rest on the chest when not in use. They are also fairly lightweight at 315g (10.1oz.)

JasonR uses an Audio-Technica AT2020 XLR microphone.

JasonR’s gaming setup includes the XLR version of the AT2020. It has a unidirectional polar pattern utilized through a side-address and offers a 20 – 20,000Hz frequency response range. Its impedance is at 100Ω, its sensitivity is -37dB and it has a signal-to-noise ratio of 74dB (1kHz @ 1Pa). It runs on 48V of phantom power, so you will need to ensure that your audio-interface is compatible. It comes with a 5/8″-27 threaded stand mount; 5/8″-27 to 3/8″-16 threaded adapter and soft protective pouch. The XLR cable will need to be bought separately.

JasonR uses a Logitech C920 webcam.

The Logitech C920 is a basic plug-and-play clip-on webcam that can be easily attached to most flat screens. Its 3mp lens can record at resolutions of 720/1080p@30fps and offers a 78° field of view. Additionally, it is also integrated with RightLight 2 light correction technology and autofocus. It is compatible with Windows 7+, Mac OS 10.10+, Chrome OS, Android v 5.0+ (32-bit/64-bit), as well as a variety of streaming software applications, including OBS, XSplit and QuickTime, among others.

TSM_VISS’S mixer

JasonR uses a Behringer Xenyx 302USB mixer.

The Behringer Xenyx 302USB is a 5-input mixer that provides a bult-in stereo USB/Audio interface with which to connect devices to your computer. It offers one XLR port and phantom power with a dynamic range of 130dB. It also features a 1/4″ combination input and a stereo USB/Line channel, as well as a dedicated 2-Track input. The Mic and Line/USB channels have also been allotted 2-band British-style EQs (high and low). Its dimensions are 13.6 x 11.4 x 4.6cm (5.35 x 4.49 x 1.81”).
