Cloud9 fired head coach Nick ‘LS’ De Cesare after only four games in the LCS 2022 season. Marcin ‘Jankos‘ Jankowski of G2 Esports weighed in on the move’s ramifications, claiming that there is “no reason” to follow the LCS now that LS is no longer involved.

Cloud9 fans were taken aback when the club’s new head coach, LS, was fired just hours before their League match against CLG on February 19.

The popular content creator turned head coach led the team to a 3-1 start to the season, and his unconventional drafting style drew a lot of attention to both the organization and the LCS as a whole.

Jankos, a Twitch streamer and jungler for G2 Esports, expressed his thoughts on the situation, claiming that the LCS will be less appealing to follow now.

On February 20th, Jankos was streaming when he learned that LS had been fired as head coach.

Jankos went on to say that LS would not be welcome to coach his G2 team. “I’m not sure I’d want to play these drafts myself,” he said, “but I think it’s fun to watch them.”

When LS was fired, Jankos’ enthusiasm for the LCS was dashed, as the former head coach’s unconventional drafts were helping to spice up the meta.

Cloud9’s LCS team will face TSM in their second League game following the departure of LS.
