In collaboration with gaming streamer Nickmercs, Apple’s Beats by Dr. Dre line is introducing a new limited edition model of the Beats Studio Buds.
Twitch streamer Nick Kolcheff AKA Nickmercs is also a co-owner of the esports group Faze Clan. According to a press release from the company, the new limited-edition Beats are intended to pay homage to the professional Twitch streamers’ loyal community.
The MFAM, or “Mercs Family,” logo is featured in a red and black design on each individual Beats Studio Bud. The Spartan helmet design on the case itself is a nod to Kolcheff’s Greek ancestry.
Kolcheff and Beats have previously collaborated on other projects. The Faze Clan and the Apple-owned headphone company have previously collaborated on a number of headphone releases. Kolcheff, however, has never had his own Beats edition before the release of the new Beats Studio Buds.
On Friday, July 22, only Best Buy will sell the limited-edition Beats Studio Buds.
