Spencer “Hiko” Martin recently announced his retirement from VALORANT on Tuesday. He will, however, remain a full-time streamer and content creator for 100 Thieves.

VALORANT, a 32-year-old Counter-Strike professional, began his career as a Counter-Strike player. Hiko’s streaming career took off when VALORANT was released in June 2020, and he quickly established himself as one of the top players in Riot Games’ new tactical shooter. He went on to assist in the formation of the 100 Thieves VALORANT roster, which went on to win the VALORANT Champions Tour.

Hiko will pursue a full-time streaming career once he retires from professional play. He had previously balanced Twitch streaming with competitive gaming.

Despite this, according to TwitchTracker, he has over 1.5 million followers and over 1,500 active subscribers on the streaming platform.

By the end of 2021, 100 Thieves’ success in the North American and international VCT had dwindled. In early 2022, the team began a complete roster rebuilding process. Former casting duo Sean Gares and Daniel “ddk” Kapadia will lead the new team as head coach and general manager, respectively. Only Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk and Ethan “Ethan” Arnold are currently signed to the team’s roster.
