Twitch recently slapped Hasan Piker with a seven-day ban last week for allegedly using the word “cracker” as a racial slur. The leftist commentator returned last Tuesday, December 21 with a new video addressing the situation, wearing a tropical button-down, red “Trump/Pence 2020” hat, plastic choker necklace, and chipped black nail polish.

Hasan Piker claims that two of his moderators were banned also banned out of nowhere for using the said word and then proceeds to offer his fans a sarcastic trigger warning before rehashing things: Hasan claims that he was banned for the most egregious, and most unacceptable action that anyone could’ve ever engaged in.

He considered his Twitch ban to be an unacceptable thing that irritated Twitch, and that he does not believe that any white person, in all sincerity, is genuinely upset, frustrated, angry, or offended by the said term. Twitch has yet to issue a public statement explaining why Piker was banned and did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Rolling Stone.

Hasan Piker teased the new video by tweeting a spoof screenshot of himself doing an interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, with the headline “THE WOKE CANCELING THE WOKE” in the ticker. He wrote on Twitter saying that he has learned from his mistakes and that he believes the white race needs to be defended, thanking Twitch.

Hasan Piker’s tone was more serious in a different tweet immediately following the ban.

Ray’s screenshots were quickly retweeted by Piker. He wrote, “Twitch needs to stop caving into white supremacists and white identity politics.” “You’re making the platform a worse place overall.” #FreeDEO, a play on Ray’s handle’s “DropEmOff,” is now trending on Twitter.
