In a matter of weeks, the most awaited Genshin Impact 2.2 is soon to come and some of the first leaks are already out. There will be new characters such as Thoma who were joining the roster and the final Inazuma map update is expected with Tsurumi Island’s launch.

Despite the fact that Genshin Impact patch 2.1 was only released on August 31, players are already anticipating the next big update. Patch 2.2 is expected to include the last few islands of Inazuma before a new region is revealed, as well as a slew of new characters and bosses to take on.

While the release of the Genshin Impact patch 2.2 is still unsure , considering that miHoYo operates on a six-week patch schedule fans can expect that the update will be dropping in early October. October 12th is the rumored date, exactly six weeks after patch 2.1’s August 31st release.

There has been one character for Genshin Impact patch 2.2 has been confirmed and that is Thoma who appears in the game’s beta during the testing period.

Additionally, Yae Miko and Kamisato Ayato — Ayaka’s brother — are both expected to appear in Genshin Impact’s next major update. While the five-star Chief Priest Yae Miko’s release date was originally set for 2.2, references to this have since been removed, suggesting that she may be delayed. Kamisato Ayato, on the other hand, is believed to be a user of the Hydro-Claymore, with the ability to switch to a Sword using his Elemental Skill. However, because the disclosures are new, expect things to change.

As the release date approaches, more characters will be added to the banner, so stay tuned.
