Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 has received its first full content update. New gameplay changes, new cosmetics, and a couple of very interesting leaks are all on the way.

Former players and big-name streamers are flocking back to Fortnite right now to enjoy the new Zero Build mode. Tfue, Cloakzy, and Nickmercs competed in the $100,000 Twitch Rivals Creator Series on Sunday, with viewership consistently exceeding 500k.

Though patch v20.10 isn’t the most extensive in terms of content, it does include a few notable additions.

Heavy Sniper + AR Funding

The Heavy Sniper, a fan favorite, has been unvaulted and is now available in-game. This high-caliber beast of a weapon is still wreaking havoc on players and builds, and it’s gotten an upgrade to boot.

The Heavy Sniper’s vehicle damage has been significantly increased, giving you another way to deal with those terrifying tanks. Rare, Epic, and Legendary variants can be found in chests and supply drops.

Note that the gold Heavy’s maximum headshot damage is 198, so you won’t be able to one-shot someone with full shield. Remember that in Zero Build, players will have access to Overshield, which provides additional protection.

The MK-Seven and Combat Assault Rifle are among the weapons that have received funding. Whichever gun reaches 100% funding first will be added first.

Battle at the Bugle

The war between the IO and the Resistance has reached new heights, with forces from both sides fighting at the Daily Bugle in a chaotic skirmish. Keep your guard up because Huntmaster Saber, a hostile AI boss, is lurking above.

The corresponding Blimps will begin to be taken down as these fights break out at POIs across the Island, according to dataminer @HYPEX. By the end of Season 2, the Covert Canyon Blimp may be the only one left.

Competitive Update

The Heavy Sniper, as well as the winner of the MK-Seven vs Combat Assault Rifle vote, will not be included in competitive playlists at first. However, there’s a chance that the winning AR will be added later after more testing.

Huntmaster Saber will now be patrolling the Daily Bugle, but the rest of the IO and Resistance soldiers will be absent.

Zero Build Arena

Epic has created Zero Build modes for Arena Solos, Duos, Trios, and Squads, according to popular leaker @iFireMonkey. The option is in the files, but it isn’t available in the game right now.

It’s possible that this isn’t meant to be a permanent mode, and that it’ll only be used for Zero Build tournaments like the recent Twitch Rivals event.

Cosmetics

The Battle Pass skins’ Super Level versions are now available.
