Dr Disrespect is taking a brief break from streaming between July 18th and July 25th after a protracted period of non-stop violence, speed, and momentum since he moved to YouTube in 2020 as a result of his enigmatic Twitch ban.
It’s not the two-year break he’s mentioned, during which he would work on Project Moon, the debut title from the new studio Midnight Society, but it might be the antecedent. In the previous two years, the streamer with spectacles has been on a tear. His YouTube subscriber count rose from 91 million to 400 million thanks to his commitment to the grind, a significant achievement he called incredibly.
However, as we’ve seen with other streamers like Asmongold, day in and day out streaming with little downtime in between wears even the biggest stars, like Dr Disrespect, out and can result in burnout.
Dr. Disrespect, a two-time champion, claims that this is the first time he has left the Champions Club Arena, the setting for Guy Beahm’s character, but he actually took a brief break in July 2021 to spend time with his family. Some fans believe that to be the cause of Doc’s brief break this time as well.
Dr. Disrespect has also made a point of criticizing the lack of interesting games available, saying that the constant repetition is making him crazy.
Therefore, that circumstance, which he repeatedly stated in recent broadcasts was driving him insane, could have been a factor. In any case, it’s a well-deserved break after a monumental run, and even though the Champion’s Club now has a void to fill, it might be just what they need to get ready for his potential two-year break.
Thankfully, the Doc will return on July 25 and this absence will only be brief.
