YouTuber JiDion is no stranger to upsetting audiences and acting provocatively. The former Twitch streamer incited a hate raid against Pokimane, in January 2022.
Pokimane almost left Twitch because of the harassment and misogyny she received from his supporters, and JiDion was permanently banned from the site as a result. The two eventually resolved their conflict, but strange occurrences involving JiDion persisted.
JiDion was expelled from an Atlanta furry convention in May while filming a video there. Security informed him that he had been making guests uncomfortable, despite his claim that he was perplexed as to why he was being kicked out. Shortly after, he was permanently barred from Wimbledon for interfering with a tennis match.
Just a few months later, JiDion is making headlines once more after being expelled from a convention. This time, he was kicked out of TwitchCon EU, the company’s convention.
JiDion went to TwitchCon EU on July 17 to record his experience there. He entered the event and spent some time at the convention despite being banned from Twitch before being discovered and asked to leave. He live streamed a video on Instagram while outside the venue, telling his followers what happened and promising that they would have enough material for a great video before being asked to leave.
JiDion didn’t appear to be angry about what had occurred. He asserted that he had been there for several hours and was already leaving. Additionally, he laughed at the convention’s lax security and boasted about his ability to enter despite his ban.
JiDion was rude when a worker approached him to ask that his friend give up his badge for the event despite taking some shots at event security. JiDion asked his friend to hand over the badge after attempting to bargain to keep it, and they left without further incident. He appeared to dare Twitch to stop him as he ended his video by promising that he would be at TwitchCon San Diego.
Some onlookers are surprised that he was able to pull off this latest stunt. This includes other streamers like HasanAbi, who was able to photograph JiDion at the occasion. It is still unknown whether JiDion will carry out his threat to infiltrate TwitchCon San Diego and how Twitch will react.
