Dr. Disrespect, who is worth $50 million, at least according to his own estimations, has openly waved his tailfeather at Kick once more today.

He has now put a price on his services and stated how much Kick would have to pay to see him switch from rich red to bright green. Kick.com and its numerous streaming defectors have been the topic of the internet, especially after Twitch powerhouses xQc and Amouranth just this month both struck extremely lucrative non-exclusive partnerships. Since then, the only meaningful discussion has been over who might be the next to defect and whether they would originate from Twitch or YouTube’s stables.

If Dr. Disrespect has his way, it will be him, but it will cost Kick almost as much as it paid to entice xQc and the 11.9 million Twitch fans of the King Juicer to the new platform. The Doc has set a price for his streaming services early in his June 26 stream, saying any agreement he makes must be worth at least $50 million USD for him to even contemplate signing. In spite of this, he didn’t seem completely convinced in either direction, acknowledging that future decisions will likely be influenced by both his business endeavours and Kick’s finances.

The former Twitch star stated; “I just don’t know how much money they have. Owning a future billion-dollar gaming studio, that takes up my time… [as does] Black Steel bourbon. We’ve got things to balance. But, if Kick wants the two-time, it’s $50 million.”

Even though Doc has specified a hefty price tag, it’s not completely impossible. Eddie Craven, the CEO of Kick, recently acknowledged that he is a “big fan” of the Doc and would love to collaborate with him. The streaming executive continued, “We’re talking with his team,”

That is not to mean, however, that Dr. Disrespect is Kick’s next main aim; Craven swiftly added that his teams had spoken to a variety of broadcasters. The Kick CEO claims that just a very small number of people have previously rejected them.

“We want to work with everyone,” Craven explained, “We want to bring people over… and, most importantly, we want to give streamers what they’re worth.”

Dr. Disrespect may or may not be worth $50 million to Kick, but given how many targets the site’s recruitment team has already secured—with the non-exclusive arrangement presumably coming out on top in many of those deals—there is a strong likelihood that the Doc will be the next. Dr. Disrespect will continue to stream on YouTube until then. The 41-year-old signed up for the Google-owned platform in August 2020, a few months after his enigmatic expulsion from Twitch. In the three years that followed, he continued to grow the platform’s subscriber base to 4.39 million.

He revealed Midnight Society, his own gaming studio, in 2021. The ambitious vertical extraction shooter DEADROP is currently being developed by the firm.
