While sitting courtside for an NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks, Dr Disrespect was accused of tripping two-time NBA MVP Steph Curry.
Chaos seems to follow The Doc wherever he goes. Now that they’ve made it to the big leagues, Dr Disrespect and OpTic HECZ have been accused of tripping international superstar Steph Curry.
It was a treat to sit courtside for Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals and see Doc and HECZ so close to the action.
The Doc was spotted alongside another ‘greatest shooter in history,’ but not in the way you might expect. Curry tripped over while passing by the Doc instead of posing for photos, prompting a quick online response.
Many people joked at first that Curry was tripped the two times. On closer inspection, it appears that he tripped over a vendor selling drinks and snacks to the front-row audience.
The Mavericks were fined $100,000 for breaking ‘bench decorum’ rules in Game 2 of the series, so it appears that the Doc’s presence wasn’t the only thing riling up courtside.
Regardless, Dr. Disrespect clarified his position on Twitter, simply saying, “I didn’t trip Stephen Curry.” In response to the video, Hecz tweeted: “It wasn’t me.”
We’re sure that crossover events like this will become more common as gaming and esports stars become more enshrined in all aspects of popular culture.
