Chaturbate gaming has finally arrived on the adult video streaming platform, giving adult streamers new options and finally giving Twitch some competition albeit with a limited selection of games.

Gaming was generally not allowed on Chaturbate, according to Kotaku, partly due to the current legal gray area surrounding streaming video games. Chaturbate appears to have avoided upsetting game developers by effectively prohibiting any of its models from playing video games during a Livestream. As of yesterday, everything has changed.

Models can choose to highlight a game they’re playing by selecting it from a drop down in the “My Broadcast” menu, similar to how it works on Twitch. However, there is one exception: the approved game list is currently quite short.

Chaturbate previously had a policy of not allowing video games to be streamed unless a model had the explicit permission of the game’s publisher, according to Reddit. As far as things go, this is an antiquated system, and the changes made yesterday should make it easier than ever for models to expand their content on the adult video streaming platform.

Chaturbate gaming’s debut also gives the platform an advantage over Twitch in terms of certain video games, as Twitch banned Adult Only-rated games from its platform in 2015. Since then, it has banned a number of other unrated games, including Yandere Simulator, for questionable reasons. Twitch has had its own issues with steamy content, as evidenced by its recent creation of a new category for “Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches.”

Many of the approved Chaturbate gaming titles, such as Huniepop, are explicit adult games, but there are a few non-adult games in the mix, such as Log Jammers.
