After Twitch streamer Quin69 following comments, massively popular streamer ‘Ironmouse’ has seen an influx of hate in her Twitch chat.

As VTubers become some of the most popular content creators on the internet, virtual avatars taking the place of face cams has become all the rage. Gawr Gura, CodeMiko, and other celebrities dress up as anime characters to entertain their fans.

Ironmouse is one of the most popular Vtubers and Twitch streamers in general. The pink-haired Twitch variety streamer has over 1 million followers, but some people are baffled by her appeal.

New Zealand-based streamer Quin69 recently expressed his feelings toward VTubers. As a result, Ironmouse, and most likely other virtual personalities, have received a barrage of hate mail.

Quin69 was reacting to popular Twitch clips during a recent live stream when he came across one featuring various VTubers.

He went on to criticize their appearance and claim that they are pretending to be 13 years old. Quin69 also stated that being a VTuber is “cheating” because they are not required to do anything in order to appear attractive.

The clip was uploaded to r/LivestreamFail, where many of the comments agreed with Quin, as with many of his controversial takes. Ironmouse was just one of the four VTubers featured in the video.

Hate raids have become increasingly popular on Twitch, alongside VTubers. Following attacks on the LGBTQIA+ community and individual streamers like Pokimane, Ironmouse’s experience is just the latest in a series of hate raids.

Ironmouse began receiving various hateful comments in her chat while chatting with friends and went on to say that people will always be negative, especially when it comes to things they don’t understand.

Quin69 reacted to the news that Ironmouse has been receiving hate using his own VTuber avatar. He claims that his words would not have been harmful if the video had not been uploaded to r/LivestreamFails.

Quin69 went on to say that his comments were “memes” and that the hate came from Reddit, not his Twitch community.
