World of Warcraft streamer Asmongold recently talked about the ongoing #ADayOffTwitch movement stating that he won’t be taking part in it.
Twitch is one of the most popular platforms for live streaming. Streamers from all backgrounds use the company to market the content they produce.
Unfortunately, while the platform has created the opportunity for some people to make a living streaming, it has come under fire for failing to crack down on harassment against certain members of the community. Because of this, some streamers have decided to boycott the service for a day.
However, it seems like not every streamer believes that the movement will work as Twitch streamer Asmongold expressed his thoughts about the matter and revealed that he will not be participating.
During his recent live broadcast, Asmongold explained as to why he doesn’t think it will work and why he won’t participate. He pointed out that he was in favor of what the movement stood for, but he felt that it wasn’t big enough to gain traction. While a number of Twitch streamers plan to boycott the platform in the coming days, most of the larger streamers on Twitch are not participating. The essence of his argument is that “nobody gives a f**k” because there aren’t enough big names involved.
Here’s what he said; “Nobody gives a f**k if you take the day off. Nobody knows who you are. That’s the truth. You can’t get a bunch of 20 small streamers together and think you’re going to do anything. Nobody gives a f**k.”
