The meta Perk since Warzone’s first week was Ghost but top streamer Nick Kolcheff AKA NICKMERCS has recently switched to another Perk saying that he believes that it could soon take Season 4’s top spot.
Players of Warzone have been complaining by the Perk meta saying that the same few Perks have been used for over a year now and has been amped in every player and user’s loadout and that they don’t see any variations beyond that especially in the slot of Perk 2.
NICKMERCS explained that many people get Ghost on their second loadout and if you don’t show up on a radar, on a heartbeat, it is a good Perk and also a popular Perk.
He also explained how stream snipers can just easily pull up his stream and his position whether he has Ghost or not and said that because of that, it led him to start running High Alert as his second Perk and believes that it’s now a better version/option for skilled players. He then also went on to describe how the Perk High Alert has been buffed to counter Dead Silence where it allows users to hear footsteps as normal.
The High Alert buff has unfortunately not been released yet and the developers of Warzone have been teasing a Perk balance to counter Dead Silence but then confirmed this change in the coming Season 4 Reloaded patch notes.
NICKMERCS said that he believes that even without the buff, High Alert is now a phenomenal perk and that he won’t be getting Ghost from his second loadout anymore.
