Name Origins
There used to be a mascot for a now defunct retail chain called Zellers. The mascot was a bear called ‘Zeddy.’ As his surname begins with Z-E-N-N, in high school some bullies decided to call him ‘Zeddy.’ He thought it was cool and left it alone, so everyone wound up calling him that. However, this really backfired on them, when he even conducted an orchestra for a school function called after him, Zeddy’s Christmas.
Gaming Origins
Zeddy grew up playing video games since he was really small, and he especially enjoyed all titles Mario, especially Mario Maker. After college, he went to work in a tile warehouse. After that, he went on to work as an accountant. However, due to his debilitating back problems and the surgeries around it, he lost his job in early 2017. This resulted in a bout of sever depression, and so he began watching a lot of Hearthstone and nl_kripp on Twitch.
His parents are supportive of his content creation, and his mom even watches him stream sometimes.
Professional Gaming
After acting as a moderator for nl_kripp’s stream for a while, Kripp’s community suggested that Zeddye try streaming as well because of his critical takes and sense of humor. So, he decided to try it out in October 2017. He fell in love with it and has been streaming 4 – 6 days a week ever since. During that first year, he streamed 10-15 hours daily. His hard work paid off, as he received Twitch partnership about a year later. He attributes his overcoming depression to Twitch, kripp and Hearthstone, as it enabled him to make a living again as well as to interact with people and give him a feeling of living purposefully. He only uploaded his first video to YouTube in July 2019, but only uploaded his next in February 2020.
He joined Fade2Karma in January 2019 as part of their content team. He frequently gives out bundles from his own pocket due to being blacklisted by Blizzard. This negatively affected him when he was starting out and was one of the few creators who didn’t receive a Battlegrounds pass. As he couldn’t afford it at the time. However, when DisguisedToast learnt of his situation, he sent him his code along with words of support.

[To become a stronger player,] you need to play a lot. Basically, practice, practice, practice. [Also,] play good decks. Don’t just play your own decks. Look up HSRelpay [and other sources.] Take a deck that has shown it can do well, practice with it, watch streams… just try not to get frustrated. You’re going to lose a lot. I lose all the time… [But I] keep going. I keep grinding.
