A $100,000 Magic game is the artist Post Malone’s challenge to interested parties.
Post Malone has a reputation for being a nerd and gamer in addition to being a well-known rapper and songwriter. He is well known for posting videos of himself playing shooters like Apex Legends with players like Aceu and xQc. He has also managed to combine his love of gaming and music by waxing lyrical about some of the greatest video game soundtracks ever created, but he isn’t just into video games—he also enjoys trading card games like Pokemon and even has one of his own.
Business Wire reported that Post Malone and Whatnot are challenging all would-be Magic: The Gathering enthusiasts to play the singer for $100,000. From among those who enter the competition, Malone will pick one challenger to receive the privilege of participating in this match. On August 11, the game will be broadcast live for everyone to watch.
Post Malone is undoubtedly not a pushover, despite the fact that the challenger might have expert Reid Duke helping train them. One of the most expensive MTG cards ever purchased was an artist-proof Black Lotus, for which he is famously known to have paid over $800,000.
To have a chance at winning that $100,000, the lucky challenger, whoever they may be, must bring their best deck.
