Popular Twitch streamer Asmongold clarifies that despite pausing his content schedule for days, he is fine and is not taking a break.

As burnout sets in after countless hours spread over several weeks, popular Twitch streamers are known for occasionally taking breaks, but Asmongold has addressed his community on some misunderstandings about taking a break. The Twitch livestreamer has acknowledged that his content schedule has changed, but he has insisted that he is not pausing.

Since Asmongold’s absence from Twitch has lasted longer than some viewers may have anticipated, they have turned to social media and other platforms to get in touch with him and find out how he is doing.

The creator of the content, who typically plays games like Lost Ark, Final Fantasy 14, World of Warcraft, or livestreams reactions, had to tweet an update to his community to let them know what was going on. Given his last tweet on July 17, some viewers might have expected more World of Warcraft: Dragonflight news, but Asmongold had some frank things to say about his personal life.

Asmongold, a well-known Twitch streamer, had to take a break from creating content in 2021 when his mother passed away so that he could deal with the estate and grieve, but ever since then, his life has been spiraling out of control.

Asmongold claims that while he is taking action to control it, streams will return as soon as possible, so he is not pausing either. Fans may have to wait a few days before watching Asmongold live on Twitch because he didn’t say when his next stream would be; however, his YouTube channel still has a number of videos to watch in the interim.

In addition to producing content on his own, Asmongold is also one of the co-founders of the One True King content collective. Asmongold’s tweet suggests that many others are privately reaching out to him as well. Other OTK members expressed their support for their peers on social media in response to the announcement.

Asmongold claimed that he is okay “for the first time in a long time,” indicating that the healing he required has already occurred and he now only needs some more time, because of how well-connected and thriving his community has become since the launch of the Lost Ark servers in the West, many of Asmongold’s followers have expressed their gratitude to him and their wishes for his well-being on Twitter. Some viewers have also thanked Asmongold for keeping them informed about when streams will resume.

Over 3 million people follow Asmongold on Twitch, and a sizeable percentage of them have said they’ll be happy to see him back when he resumes livestreaming.
