In the streaming community, DrDisrespect is a name that needs no introduction. The streamer amassed a sizable following on Twitch during his early days, but it wasn’t the only platform where he gained a large following.
Twitch had threatened to ban the passionate streamer permanently in 2020. And he hasn’t shied away from voicing his opinion on the platform, despite the fact that the reason for doing so remains a mystery. Doc’s recent tweets, however, suggest that he is considering being unbanned and receiving a large payment.
The streamer recently posted on Twitter about his New Year’s resolutions. The majority of them appear to be upbeat. The last one, on the other hand, suggests a major showdown between the popular platform and Dr Disrespect.
The final resolution reads, “Unbanned and Massive Payment.” The way this goal is written stands out among the others. This resolution is written in purple, which is the color associated with the streaming platform.
In June 2020, the Doctor was banned from Twitch. The reason for the streamer’s ban was unknown. They also didn’t know if the streamer was aware of why he’d been banned.
His viewers later discovered that DrDisrespect was aware of why he was banned.
DrDisrespect can be seen acknowledging the ban at the 5:52 mark. While he did not go into detail, it appears that he is aware of the reason for his suspension.
Doc now appears to have a lust for vengeance, as teased by the tweet, at the start of 2022. He appears to be planning a legal battle with Twitch in order to have his ban lifted.
The manner in which he was banned from Twitch and the fallout from it suggest that the Doctor will not want to return. Especially after establishing himself as a YouTube sensation. This is why, even if he is unbanned from Twitch, it is highly unlikely that he will return to the platform.
